Slow the Season. Savor His Presence.

Slow the Season. Savor His Presence.

I am thinking about you…all of you. I know how hectic this time can be as we’ve begun to lump November and December into three words, “The Holiday Season” with expressions of weariness and a sense of feeling overwhelmed.

I challenge myself and all of us to stop for a moment and instead decide to make each day count. Let’s not see it as a season that comes and goes. Let’s see it as a time that we set apart to focus on and gratefully thank our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit for being with us. “And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth…” ( John 1:14 Amplified)

Let’s not rush through this time or be so consumed with details that we don’t enjoy the people, events, and special activities made possible in this season. Let’s stop and appreciate His nearest Presence in every day of our life, leading and guiding as we seek His face and trust Him.

I know I don’t want to see this as a season to be endured, but one to appreciate the blessings of each moment. Join me, won’t you?
