Vexed bye the Virus?
As we continue our exploration of the chaos create by this pandemic, here is a great suggestion. Create an Action Plan to bring good out of this period. Here are Reen’s suggestions:
- Stuck inside? My mom does laps inside her garage, and goes up and down stairs to the basement. Create a goal of steps to do every day.
- Google Bible reading plans and pick one that works for you. Spend this time growing your faith by intentionally reading God’s Word.
- Dispel someone’s loneliness. Encourage them with a phone call.
- Spend an hour a day praying for others.
- Create a DIY project with your child or bake and decorate cookies.
- Take up that hobby you’ve never had time to begin.
- Encourage your children to keep a coronavirus journal or memoir…their thoughts, emotions, and things they learned that they want to remember in years to come.
- Order those books you’ve always wanted to read and allow your imagination to soar.
- Fast and pray…great time to boost your spiritual disciplines.
- Clean out those closets and plan to donate to Good will.
- Write handwritten notes of encouragement. Can’t get to the post office? You can buy stamps online.
- Start a journal and make note of things you learned about God and yourself during this time. Choose one positive thing and create a new habit to continue when the pandemic is over.
- Create a collage to be framed from magazine cutouts with your child, develop a menu and prepare an entire meal together, discuss manners and their importance, teach your child to sew, cook, write or paint. This is your opportunity!
- Work on the lawn or plant flowers…most certainly a mood lifter.
