Spring is here! White and pink tree blossoms decorate the landscape, fresh green grass colors the lawns, yellow daffodils sway in the breeze, and the birds seem to be actually rejoicing in song! A sense of celebration is in the air. Everything seems to be arising from the grey, gloom of winter to celebrate new life!
 
The idea that we, too, can arise captured my thoughts this week. This month we look forward to Resurrection Sunday in celebration of Jesus Christ rising from the dead.But have you ever thought about the fact that Jesus Christ’s resurrection was not only one highly anticipated and celebrated day in history, but instead an ongoing event. He clearly stated, “I AM the resurrection and the life”… a living, ongoing, constant reality.
 
If you believe the truth that Jesus paid the death penalty for your rebellion against God and His plans and offers you forgiveness and life eternal, you are promised an abundant, refreshed, resurrected new life each and every day.
 
He is constantly working in your life to bring good for you and glory for Himself out of every positive and negative event in your life, big and small. He gives you the opportunity of a fresh beginning, a new start every day. Begin today.Choose to leave the past behind with all its mistakes and flaws, forgive yourself as Jesus has forgiven you, and embrace the new life that is yours!
