He is Risen

This week I’m sharing (above) one of my all-time favorite Easter songs! It is a true celebration of the unique resurrection Easter is all about.

Why do we celebrate Resurrection at Easter? Why is it so important? Resurrection is defined as, “The action or fact of resurrecting or being resurrected. Christ’s rising from the dead.” Easter is the celebration of Jesus paying the death penalty for our rebellion against God’s will and ways, called “sin” in the Bible. And much more. It celebrates the fact that after Jesus literally died while paying this death penalty, He didn’t remain in the grave. Three days later He literally came alive again and rose up out of the grave, promising us the same.

Because Jesus rose again to new life we are promised and can trust we, too, will be alive again after our bodies die on this earth…our spirits within will rise to be with God for eternity. But the key to this is that we must believe in Jesus as our Savior and Lord.

Apostle Paul states clearly in the Bible, “because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God]; and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9 Amp)

Yet he continues, “For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised, either; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless and powerless [mere delusion]; you are still in your sins [and under the control and penalty of sin]….If we who are [abiding] in Christ have hoped only in this life [and this is all there is], then we are of all people most miserable and to be pitied.” (Romans 15:16,17,19)

So, praise be to God alone that He rose again! And as we will see next week, many saw and touched him after His resurrection proving its reality.

This week as we celebrate Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection, I hope you will rejoice with me! Please enjoy my favorite triumphant recognition of all we celebrate this week and always! Christ the Lord is Risen! Hallelujah!

Joyous Resurrection Sunday from our family to yours!
We love you!
