Make a New Year’s Revolution!

January is a time of renewal. Instead of making a short-lived New Year’s Resolution, make a complete Revolution by taking definite action and sticking to it. As Abraham Lincoln said, “Your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.”

I can attest to the power of personal commitment. After Thanksgiving, I realized  I needed to shed a lot of weight. Rather than go on a chemically laced weight loss program, I opted for a simpler approach. I eliminated  junk food and sodas, started eating a minimal breakfast, enjoyed a full dinner meal at lunch (with dessert), and skipped the evening meal. Let me tell you… intermittent fasting works!

The first few days without caffeine, sweets, and three full meals sapped my energy, but I gutted through it and created a new groove. Determination, eliminating junk food, and a definite weight loss goal have fueled my successful 20-pound weight loss in 36 days! And Linda and I established a healthy new eating plan–not a diet!

Daily I carry  a 32-ounce shaker bottle filled with filtered water, a fiber product, super green powder, and  JUCE (A far less expensive product than “Balance of Nature” that works much better, bought at Costco). This replaces my need for caffeine, and  I stay super hydrated, flushing excess pounds out of my body. When you stop eating junk food, your body ceases craving it and you begin enjoying the satisfaction of fresh fruit.

Linda is following suit as well and we are signing up at the gym to get stronger and lose more weight. Not only do we look and feel better, but we are also honoring God with our bodies as 1 Cor.6:19-20 AMP says,”

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]? You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body.”

So, guys, if you want to recharge your system, lose extra pounds, and have more energy….commit to getting  and see how much better you look and feel!
