Creating Christmas Memories!
Hello, dear friends! Christmas is a time for making lasting memories and cherished traditions. This is Linda’s favorite time of year. Spending time with our children and grandchildren, decorating the house, and attending church concerts makes her eyes sparkle more than usual.
While some dismiss the significance of Christmas, Matthew 1:22-23 reveals that Jesus’ birth is the fulfillment of prophecy, “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God with us’)”.
In Evidence That Demands a Verdict, Josh and Sean McDowell cite Professor Peter W. Stoner’s research stating that the mathematical probability of Jesus fulfilling only eight of the Messianic prophecies is astronomical-– 1 in 1017 (1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000). But Jesus fulfilled over 100 prophecies that had been foretold 400-1500 years before His birth. Wow!
Christmas can be one of the most exciting opportunities to witness to those who do not yet know Jesus. When someone greets you with “Happy Holidays,” bring Christ into the conversation with a hearty “Merry Christmas.” Then you might ask them what they know about Christmas, share some of these amazing facts, engage in a life-changing spiritual conversation, and maybe even invite them to attend Christmas Eve or Christmas Day service with you!
