Turkey and Broccoli Pasta
Publix Aprons Recipe • Total Time: 25 Minutes • Makes 4 Servings
Ingredients
- 8 oz medium shell pasta
- 12 oz fresh broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
- 1 lb. ground turkey (or ground turkey breast)
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Steps
- Cook Pasta and Broccoli
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Add broccoli florets to the pasta during the last 4 minutes of cooking time. Reserve ¼ cup pasta water before draining. - Sauté Garlic and Pepper
Preheat a large sauté pan on medium-high for 2–3 minutes. Melt butter, then add garlic and red pepper. Cook and stir for 1 minute or until garlic is golden. - Cook the Turkey
Add ground turkey to the butter mixture. Cook 4–5 minutes, stirring to crumble the meat, until no pink remains. - Combine and Finish
Stir in the drained pasta and broccoli, kosher salt, and reserved pasta water. Cook for 1 minute or until flavors are blended. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and serve.
This recipe is from the Publix Aprons meal kit series. The crushed red pepper is optional — omit it for a milder flavor.
